Overview

Our Club Basketball program at Shepherd Sports is made up of teams ranging in ages from 7-14. Our teams train and compete at a high level within the AAU circuit and local competitive leagues and tournaments. We put great emphasis on building every player with Godly character while teaching them the fundamentals and competitive skills of basketball. We hold tryouts twice a year... once in the Spring and once in the Fall. Each of these tryout sessions include two days for each age/team. All players are encouraged to attend both days of tryouts. The tryout process is Free, but we ask every player register before showing up. 

All current Club Players will move up an age this Fall Season - 12u will become 13u... etc.

Fall/Winter Season Tryouts - 2023/24

Saturday, Sept 9th

• 8:00am - 9:15am

 9u = (Born After Aug, 31 2014)

10u = (Born Between Aug, 31 2013 through Sept, 1 2014)

• 9:30am - 10:45am

11u = (Born Between Aug, 31 2012 through Sept, 1 2013). 

12u = (Born Between Aug, 31 2011 through Sept, 1 2012)

• 11:00am - 12:45pm

13u = (Born Between Aug, 31 2010 through Sept, 1 2011)

14u = (Born Between Aug, 31 2009 through Sept, 1 2010)

Tryouts are free, however please REGISTER before tryouts!

Second Day of Fall/Winter Tryouts

• 9u & 10u - Monday, Sept 11 (4:30-6:00pm)
• 14u - Monday, Sept 11 (6:00-7:00pm)
• 11u - Tuesday, Sept 12 (4:30-5:30pm)
  
• 12u - Tuesday, Sept 12 (6:00-7:00pm)
• 13u - Wednesday, Sept 13 (4:30-5:30pm)

Tryouts Details

There are no fees for our tryouts and we're completely open to the public. Parents, please arrive early to sign your player up and get us your proper contact info. We ask that all parents stay for the entire tryout. During this time we will try to answer all your questions. We have 2 tryouts for each age group and we encourage players to attend both sessions, but every player must attend at least one tryout date in order to be considered for a team. We ask that all new families please read the CLUB BASKETBALL PARENT INFORMATION packet during tryouts. This will give you an idea of how our club runs and the emphasis that we put on practice and the spiritual side of our club.
