  1. Do I need to be a Shepherd of the Hills Member to participate?
    No, in fact we encourage community involvement.

 

  1. Who will be coaching my child?
    Our coaches go through a required training course and screening process. Most coaches are current, former professional or college level athletes within their sport.

 

  1. Is my child required to attend the devotionals?
    Devotional times are optional, but highly recommended. Parents are welcome to sit in on devotional time.

 

  1. Where will the different sports be played?
    Most all sports will be played in the Family Life Center Gym at Shepherd of the Hills Church. Our Soccer programs play and meet at the Rocky Peak field in Chatsworth.

 

  1. How can I as a parent get more involved?
    Parent involvement is highly recommended and needed for our programs to be successful. Contact our youth sports director for information on ways you can get involved. cbogray@theshepherd.org

 

  1. Can I expect Shepherd’s Youth Sports programs to be different then that of a city or community program?
    It’s our strict policy to enforce no badgering or taunting from parents or spectators. We require parents to attend a parent information meeting that covers all the expectations. Players and coaches are encouraged to play hard but support the commitment to excellence approach at all times.

 

  1. Will my child receive a uniform?
    All league sports participation will receive a jersey or uniform. Clinic and camp participants will receive a custom t-shirt.
