Academy Training Resumes March 12

Training Schedules:

(Blue Level) Ages 6-8 .. Every Friday starting May 4 4pm - 5:30pm (register)

(Red Level) Ages 9-11 Every Monday starting May 7 4pm - 5:30pm (register)

(Gold Level) Ages 12-17 Every Tuesday starting May 1 4pm - 5:30pm (register)

New players who haven't been accepted into the Academy before March 11 but are interested in training are welcome to attend a training session during one of the times listed above for an assessment. After the assessment you will be notified about Academy exceptance and training level.

Our Academy is open to young basketball player’s ages 6-17 with the desire to train at a higher competitive level. Players will be allowed to train at our facility with one of our professional basketball trainers after being accepted into the academy. (see process below). Once accepted, Academy participants have the opportunity for placement on a Shepherd Sports Club Team. (Info here)

Academy Acceptance Process

After completing the registration/waiver information and paying a one-time assessment fee of $25, each player will then be assessed during their first training session. Three main criteria will be considered for acceptance: Attitude, work ethic and above average basketball skills (age appropriate). After the training assessment Academy acceptance will be posted on our web site under Academy Roster . To maintain a high level of training, the academy only carries a total of 30 players per skill level.
