Hiking FAQ's

1.   Where do you meet?
We meet at local trails around the area. The group meets at different trails each month. (check website for monthly details on hikes)

 2.  How often do you meet?
We meet the last Saturday of every month, unless when noted.

 3.  What time do you meet?
9:00am unless noted. 

4.  What if the weather is bad?
Call the Hotline Saturday morning for cancellations/updates: 818-832-4486

5.  Can I bring my kids?
Yes, the hikes are open to all levels and ages. 

6. Can I bring my dog?
Yes, if leashed, unless otherwise noted. 

7. Can I bring my child in a stroller?
Few trails are adequate for strollers. Check with Emily North first. enorth@theshepherd.org

8. How long are the hikes?
They generally last from 9-11am. 

9. Do you ever meet and carpool?
No.  

10.  What is the cost?
There is no fee for the hiking group.

11.  What do I need to bring?
Hiking shoes are suggested, water bottle, hat/sunscreen, sunglasses, appropriate clothing for the weather, a light snack
