Shepherd Golf Club

2010 marks the second year for our new Shepherd Golf Club and we are excited for the new opportunities that await us. It is our desire for Shepherd Golf to be a club where you can have different, fun, and exciting ways to participate in the game of golf all while enjoying the nature of the sport. As the club grows, we believe that Shepherd Golf has unlimited potential in what we will be able to accomplish. Summer League:

• League is open to anyone with a established handicap index
• League runs from July through September
• All League Matches are match play
• Cost is $25...and you can only sign up online 
• Deadline for Summer League sign-up's is: July, 2
• Players will be broken up into one of two flights according to their index

 Membership Overview

There are many different aspects of becoming a member of Shepherd Golf. First is our association with the Southern Californian Golf Association, which is explained below. As a Shepherd Golf member you will be eligible to participate in all of our events throughout the year. You will receive opportunities for discounted rounds throughout Southern California golf courses, including discounted player fees when participating in a Shepherd Golf event.

As mentioned above, a member of Shepherd Golf also becomes an immediate member of the Southern California Golf Association. As a member of the SCGA you will receive their handicapping services, which includes the ability to post scores on-line. Members of SCGA also receive a bimonthly issue of FORE Magazine, an annual directory of Golf making you eligible to participate in SCGA tournaments (over 100 a year), and advanced tee times and pricing at many SCGA Golf Courses. This is just to name a few of the many benefits you gain by becoming a member of the SCGA and Shepherd Golf. 

How to Join

First, any new applicant should read over the By-Laws of Shepherd Golf to gain an understanding of how and why the club exists. Second, email or call Emily North so she can mail you a membership application packet. This packet includes an instructional page, a Shepherd Golf registration form, and a SCGA application. Both the Shepherd Golf registration form and the SCGA application need to be returned with the club fee of $75. Shepherd Golf is open to everyone. Note: Refer to the club By-Laws for new membership procedure.
