Coed Softball FAQ's

  1. Can I bring in a whole team?

At this time we do not allow whole teams to sign up together. You may bring in a group of 6 and be guaranteed that you will all be placed on the same team together. However, you must have 2 or 3 women in your group of 6; no more, no less. (see softball registration form for details)

  1. How many games do we get to play?

You are guaranteed 8 games. Teams that qualify will advance to the playoffs for a chance to win the ever so popular Championship Shirts.

  1. How much does it cost to play?
    1) Individually $75   2) Pairs $140  3) Register as a group of 4: $260  4) Register as a group of 6: $390

  4. What does my league fee cover?

The league fee covers the field use, umpires, game balls, and a great time!

  1. How many people are placed on a team?

Anywhere from 13 - 14 players are considered a full team.

  1. Where are the games played?

We have been blessed with one of the nicest field in the valley- Rocky Peak Field in Chatsworth. About a five minute drive from Shepherd of the Hills. Click here for directions to the field: http://www.shepherdsports.org/adult-sports/coed-softball/RockyPeak-FieldDirections.pdf/view

  1. When are the games played?

Games are played on Saturdays starting at 8am and start thereafter every hour and fifteen minutes. Your game time will rotate every week. We are usually done by 4pm.

 8.    Do I have to try out?

You do not have to try out. All players that want to play will be placed on a team. However, if you have not played in our league before you must attend Skill Assessment Day.

9.    What is Skill Assessment Day? (SAD)

All new players that wish to participate in our league must attend SAD which will take place a week or two before the league starts. The purpose of SAD is to determine the skill level of the new players so we can make all the teams as fair as possible.

10.    What bats are allowed?

11.    How many seasons do you offer?

We offer 2 seasons of Coed Softball throughout the year.

-          Winter League runs from January through April

-          Summer League runs from July to October
